California is embarrassing itself with a proposed new bill.
It’s too bad, really.
California has some of the most wonderful real-estate in the country. The north shores and the Red Wood forests are something so unique that thousands migrate across the country and even from other parts of the world to see.
Then there are the beaches. Beautiful sandy beaches like Malibu,San Diego, Laguna, Coronado, and Santa Monica. The list goes on.
And not many other states in the Union have it where you can go skiing in the morning and back to the coast in the morning.
So it’s sad to see one of the most beautiful states in the country outline a policy that doesn’t protect the citizens and their tax dollars but actually caters to illegal immigrants and their agendas.
California state Senate President Kevin de León (D) has filed legislation to prevent state and local law enforcement agencies from working with federal immigration officials to deport undocumented immigrants.
This comes on the heels of President Trump winning the election with promises of deporting illegals, estimating there are as many as 3 million illegals who have criminal records.
The bill, dubbed the California Values Act, would prohibit state and local law enforcement agencies from enforcing immigration laws from being carried out in “safe zones” — public schools, hospitals and courthouses — in order to guarantee undocumented immigrants access to those services.
The state has a debt problem.
That statement is dripping with irony. US Citizens should have access to these as their birthright. Legal immigrants have also gone through a process that affords them an opportunity to be a part of our country. But illegal immigrants have broken the law. In doing so, many government systems-schools, hospitals, and courthouses- have been overwhelmed with the amount of money needed to run. California, if it were broken out on its own, is the 6th largest economy in the world. And right now it’s $443 BILLION in debt.
So de Leon wants to block law enforcement from doing their job and removing illegal aliens with criminal records. They people are a drain on California’s society, using government programs to supplement their lives at the expense of CA and USA taxpayers. Trump isn’t calling for a mass deportation. Rather, he’s pointing out there are millions who have abused the US’s generosity and have even resorted to crime and are a drag on productive citizens.
California could save $$$
Imagine how much money California could save by not having to feed and clothe prisoners who shouldn’t even be in the country. Think how much money CA could save by not having to process paperwork for repeat offenders who jumped the line. How much money the state could pour back into itself, supporting parks, cities, and the general welfare, if it didn’t have to support low-lives who preyed on others?
This bill is a slap in the face to law-abiding US citizens and immigrants who went through the process to become residents. It should be torn up. And de Leon, who is considering a run for governor, should be thrown out of office by the citizens of CA.
What do you think of de Leon creating safe spaces that prevent illegal immigrants from facing the music? Let us know in the comments below.
